Students and Politics

Student and politics

These two words are not friends. They hardly seen match shown together in any paper. Ever the Minister of Higher Education has forbidden students from taking part in any politic stuff except when they are eligible to vote. No involvement in demonstration, any party or any assembly. It’s an order!

So, I felt like been called to write something on this matter. I am not here to say that our minister order is something disputable. But, I am here to make a call to all my fellow friends to wake up and listen.

Student is not a ticket for us to totally ignore what is happening in our beloved country. Politics’ wave and the ‘up and down’ of our domestic affair are an important stuff to be updated with beside books. We are not supposed to side any party of any kind (if u do keep it to yourself), but this is crucial since we are not going to be students forever.

When the day comes, we would be one of them. A working adult and capable of determining the ruler. On top of that, we are all an adult (except for those in primary and secondary schools).

We have to keep ourselves prepared for the future. May be we want something new in our country or we want it be patronized by the same men! It’s up to us. After all, it’s Malaysia, ‘Rakyat’ decide!

Can u imagine, when we start working and we have no idea about politics? I am not suggesting that we have to become an extremist in politic but a little clue has no harm. Am I right?

But, i want to stress here, that all those coalitions are not meant for us to fight each other especially considering that we are all Malaysians! The good side of having these parties is that, these big men are fighting to bring goodness for 'Rakyat'. So the whole country would have benefited from it, so do us, students!
